The following announcement is that Pirate Plan to which you are cordially invited to submit your inquiry & application. (Check back often as these notices are updated monthly!) The Maritime Pirates are accepting applications. Participation requires fast memorization, improvisational skills, street theater and a pirate friendly attitude. You should not be afraid of water, sailing or docks. You should be prepared to handle performing several 15 – 20 minute skits over a 2-4 hour period. This is non-union work. Meals and/or transportation provided depending on event. Costumes provided depending on event. Cast members are given music CD's, lyric sheets, program outlines and schedules.
Pirates: Ages 18 and up. Vocal ability a plus. Team players. Wenches: Ages 18 and up. Vocal ability a plus. Team players. Kidds: Ages 14-17. Parental/Guardian consent required.
September 2008 - May 2009 Maritime Pirates after school programs, shows & workshops. Seeking all types of actors available for part time paid positions on call as needed. Schools through Long Island, New York City & New Jersey. You must not have any felonies in the last seven years that would implicate involvement with and/or the endangerment of minors.
April/May 2008 Pistarckle Theater - St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Seeking six extra pirates/wenches to participate in series of events and shows. Meals & "local" travel stipend provided. Rehearsals will take place in St. Thomas (location yet to be determined).
Open calls 2008 for actors and actresses to participate in "Maritime Pirates" in programs in various locations in New York City and Long Island. Pay depending on experience and/or event. Call James Davis, Director, 631-765-6235.
DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED in Riverhead Polish Hall, Riverhead, Long Island, New York. Seeking: Six Pirates, Six Wenches, Six Kidds, Mermaid & Gorilla. Program: 6PM - 9PM each Friday. Stipend pay. Meals & transportation expenses provided. Should be available for both days. Rehearsal schedule to be set.
June - August 2008 Maritime Pirates to sail aboard top sail schooner the Mary E, of Greenport, Long Island, New York. Tuesdays are regularly scheduled but other days as well. Some pay. Locations vary around Long Island and New York City.
June 1st 2008 at Harborfest, Port Washington, Long Island, New York. 1pm-2pm. No pay. Meals provided.
June 22nd 2008 at Harbor Street Fair, Mamaroneck, New York. 1pm-2pm. No pay. Meals provided.
July 19th 2008 at Sag Harbor Long Beach in Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York. 4PM - 9PM. No pay. Meals & transportation expenses provided.

Day Festival & Maritime Pirates Stage Show
September 13th South Street Seaport, Pier 16, New York City. Seeking Pirates, Wenches, Kidds, Mermaid & Gorilla. All actors wil participate on various vessels such as the Schooner Pioneer and the tall ship Peking. 10AM - 5PM. No pay. Meals & transportation stipend provided. Should be available for all day. Rehearsal to be announced.
September 20th & 21st, 2008 in Greenport, Long Island, New York. Seeking Pirates, Wenches, Kidds, Mermaid & Gorilla. All actors could participate on various vessels such as the Schooner Mary E or HMS Bounty or The Providence. 10AM - 5PM each day. No pay. Meals & transportation stipend provided. Should be available for both days. Rehearsal to be announced.
September 27th & 28th, 2008 in Tanner Park, Town Of Babylon, Long Island, New York. Seeking Pirates, Wenches, Kidds, Mermaid & Gorilla. All actors could participate in shows, interactive programs & workshops. Noon - 5pm each day. No pay. Meals & transportation stipend provided. Should be available for both days. Rehearsal to be announced.
October 31st - November 2nd, 2008 South Street Seaport Museum - New York, New York. Shows at 11am, 1pm & 3pm each day. Stipend pay provided. Rehearsal schedule to be set (during week of the event) Seeking: Two Pirates, Two Wenches, One Ghost.
November 1st, 2008 in Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York. Seeking Pirates, Wenches, Kidds. All actors could participate in shows, interactive programs & workshops. Noon - 5PM each day. No pay. Meals & transportation stipend provided. Rehearsal to be announced.
December 2008 South Street Seaport Museum & elsewhere - New York, New York. Shows at 11am, 1pm & 3pm each day. Possible stipend pay provided. Seeking: Three Pirates, Three Wenches.
